About

I really do love my job, I love being a homemaker. When Christian and I were courting I discovered a piece of my heart that I had not known before. My dream was to be the best wife and mom that I could possibly be. That has not changed. But with five small children, homeschooling and all the other demands on a busy mama's schedule, that can be a challenge at times. But life is full of challenges! In March 2009 we purchased our first home and have been repairing it for the past few months, I have had the amazing pleasure of designing my own kitchen and I am so excited to finally really get to use it!  Hopefully some of you will get to dine at my counter! But for now I will invite you into my virtual kitchen, a place to collaborate and share ideas on homemaking, recipes and ideas on how to make this wonderful job even better. Please feel free to browse through my site, it is definitely a work in process and if you see something that is not working properly, please let me know. My email address is chrisandjenni-at-gmail.com, if you have any questions just send me and email. Also if you are looking for a recipe just type in the word you are looking for in the search bar at the top left. Welcome to Jenni's Kitchen, where together we will discover the true Joy of Homemaking!

Happy to have discovered this blog. Christian Burns is a remarkable feller, and I enjoy his Pownce and Twitter messages.

Wish my wife had a blog, but she works on computer all day, and wants a break from it at night. Can’t blame her.

I want to make the Whole Wheat Honey Oatmeal Bread modified by heidi but it doesn’t say how long to bake it and at what temperature.

I moved out of the Valley two years ago, so you fulfill my “taste” for home too : )

I really enjoyed your blog. I am from the Skagit Valley as well – nice to see local folks turning out good content.

I’ve added a link to your site at http://www.ultimatefoodie.com :)

I haven’t tried this recipe yet, the Honey Oatmeal bread, but it looks like you cook it at 375 for 40 minutes. Need to work on the formating of this post, sorry ladies. I did this one way back when I first started this blog and haven’t had time to do all the editing, hope it turns out! :)
